I love coffee! And I love my coffee and the Gaggia! The machine is beautiful and looks great in my kitchen, not to mention make great coffee, latte macchiato and cappuccino. The scale is the accumulation of lime and minerals from the use of hard water in coffee. The scale can clog the machine, but the main thing that makes coffee taste bad. The Gaggia coffee machine has a stainless steel construction is sturdy and elegant. It's good with anything I would change happen. The tube is made of plastic, but so far there has been a problem.
